Denmark student visa: the official document checklist
In short: the Residence permit for higher education (form ST1) for Denmark asks for 3 documents from every applicant, and 8 more when they apply to you. This list follows the official checklist of the Denmark authorities, read on 16 October 2026. (official source, checked 16 October 2026)
Where applicants in Pakistan submit: Apply online on newtodenmark.dk (ST1), then submit in person and give biometrics at the Gerry's/VFS Visa Service Centre in Pakistan, as the Embassy of Denmark in Islamabad requires for all residence permits including study. Book via VFS Global Pakistan (Denmark).
Photo: Facial photo and fingerprints are recorded (biometrics) at the mission or visa centre; refusing biometrics means rejection. Online applicants must have biometrics recorded within 14 days of submitting.
Passport: A residence permit can only be valid until 3 months before your passport expires; copies of all passport pages including covers are required.
