Slovenia student visa: the official document checklist
In short: the Temporary residence permit for the purpose of study (first permit applied for abroad) for Slovenia asks for 8 documents from every applicant, and 2 more when they apply to you. This list follows the official checklist of the Slovenia authorities, read on 16 October 2026. (official source, checked 16 October 2026)
Where applicants in Pakistan submit: Pakistani citizens need a visa for Slovenia, so the first permit is applied for at a Slovenian diplomatic mission or consular post abroad (gov.si says long-stay applications go to the 'competent Slovenian diplomatic mission'). Fingerprints and photo are taken there. After entry, register your address at the administrative unit within three days. Some universities file the application for the student.
Photo: An appropriate personal photograph (exact size rules are on a separate page that was not checked).
Passport: Valid travel document (or certified photocopy) valid for at least three months beyond the intended stay in Slovenia.
