Getting your study-abroad papers ready in Uzbekistan
In short: 3 offices in Uzbekistan verify, attest or issue the papers a student visa asks for. For each: what it does, the official portal, the steps, the fee as its official page prints it and its offices, read on 16 October 2026.
Apostille on official documents (through Public Service Centres or my.gov.uz)
Puts an apostille on Uzbek papers so they are accepted abroad. The official gov.uz page lists who signs: Ministry of Justice and regional justice departments (court bodies and civil registry/ZAGS papers), Supreme Court (court papers), Prosecutor General's Office (prosecution and investigation papers), the state body for quality control in education (papers from educational institutions), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (all other official papers).
Choose: go to a Public Service Centre in person, or apply online on the single government portal (my.gov.uz).
Hand in the official document (or a notarised copy for an unofficial document).
At a Public Service Centre, staff scan your papers and send them to the right body as PDF files.
Pay the fee.
The body must check the request within 2 working days.
If it is refused, you get the reasons and have 30 calendar days to send it again.
Appointment: Not confirmed on an official page; check before you go.
Fee, as the official page prints it: в размере 20 % от БРВ (education, science, justice and ZAGS documents; 10% of the BRV for other documents; 20% of the BRV for electronic applications, as summarised from the same page) (official source, checked 16 October 2026)
Inside Uzbekistan: apply online at my.gov.uz (Russian or Uzbek) or in person at a local Public Service Centre.
Collect the certificate in person at a service centre, or send someone with a power of attorney.
Outside Uzbekistan: apply at the consular section of the nearest Uzbek embassy.
Make sure the certificate shows every name you have used in Uzbekistan.
Some embassies accept only the original paper certificate, not a print-out or electronic copy.
Appointment: Not confirmed on an official page; check before you go.
